NEXORA: Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Mohanad Khaled Hasan Samaheen, trading as NEXORACARDS (“we”, “us”), who provide the Nexora add-on and the service behind it. By creating a Nexora account or using the add-on, you agree to them.

What the service is

Nexora is an add-on for the desktop version of Anki. When you ask it for something, it sends the flashcard you are working on to our server, which passes it on to the provider's server and returns the reply to you. It is a study aid.

It is not medical advice, and it can be wrong.

Nexora's answers are produced automatically, and they can be confidently incorrect, including about medicine. It is intended to help you study, not to inform clinical decisions or patient care, and it is not a substitute for a textbook, a guideline, or a qualified clinician. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on. We make no warranty that its output is accurate, current, or complete.

Your account

You need an account, and you must give an email address you control.
One person per account. Do not share your login.
Accounts may be used on a limited number of devices. Signing in on a new one may sign out the oldest.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Subscriptions, credits, and what you are buying

Usage is measured in credits. One credit is roughly one action; heavier actions cost more, and the cost is shown on the button before you press it.
Each plan includes a monthly allowance. Unused allowance does not roll over.
New accounts get a one-time free trial allowance. It does not reset.
Credit packs are one-off purchases. Those credits do survive the monthly reset.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Prices are shown on the pricing section and at checkout. We may change prices for future billing periods; we will tell you before a change affects you.

Payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles all customer service enquiries relating to payment, billing, and taxes. Purchases are also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. We never see or store your card details.

Fair use

Please do not:

Resell, sublicense or redistribute access to the service.
Use it to produce material in bulk for redistribution, or to build a competing product.
Attempt to extract the underlying prompts, circumvent the card allowance, or automate the client beyond normal study use.
Submit content you have no right to send us, or use the service unlawfully.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where the reason is not abuse, we will refund the unused part of a current subscription period.

Your content

Your cards remain yours. You give us permission to process the card text you send, and only for the purpose of answering that request: passing it to the provider's server and returning the result. We do not store card text, do not sell it, and do not use it to train models. See the privacy page.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. It depends on servers outside our control, and those can fail, rate-limit, or change. If an outage means you cannot use what you paid for, contact us and we will make it right. See the refund policy.

Anki

Nexora is an independent add-on. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by the makers of Anki or AnkiWeb, and we are not responsible for changes in Anki that affect the add-on. Nexora edits your collection only when you approve a change, and we strongly recommend keeping backups. Anki makes them automatically.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost study time, for the results you get, or for damage to a collection you did not back up. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these terms do not affect.

Ending it

You can stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may end these terms if you breach them. On termination your access stops and your account data is removed on request. See the privacy page.

Changes to these terms

If we change them materially, we will say so on this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.

Nexora is operated by Mohanad Khaled Hasan Samaheen, trading as NEXORACARDS. The fastest way to reach a person is support@nexoracards.app, and it is read by the people who build the product rather than by an outsourced desk.

For anything about a payment (an invoice, a receipt, a tax question, a chargeback), Paddle.com is the merchant of record and can answer directly; you can also reply to your purchase receipt. If you need a postal address for a formal notice, ask at the address above and we will provide one.
